His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 25th August afternoon, left for Malaysia to hold a State Visit on the 26th of August 2025 and subsequently attend the 26th Malaysia-Brunei Darussalam Annual Leaders' Consultation. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Prior to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Present at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell to His Majesty were members of the Royal Family. Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-pengiran Cheteria; the Speaker of the Legislative Council; Cabinet Ministers; Members of the Privy Council; Deputy Ministers; the Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force and Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Upon arrival at the Subang Air Base, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia; Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj ibni Sultan Ibrahim; Yang Berhormat Datuk Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, Minister of Communications as Minister in attendance; Yang Amat Berbahagia Datuk Rozainor bin Ramli, Government Chief Protocol Officer, Protocol and International Conference Secretariat Division and His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini bin Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.
